Tips to ensure your special day runs smoothly

To ensure your big day bliss, here are two tips for your day.

Tip 1. Allocate someone to do jobs for you on your special day
As organized as you are, there are errands that can only be done on your special day like picking up flowers or laying out place cards.  You don’t want to be worrying about these so delegate someone you trust to do each of these jobs.  Your focus should be to stay calm and relaxed as you are pampered with having your hair and makeup done.

Tip 2.  Enjoy your day
This is it. The event you have been planning for months is here.  Don’t make the mistake of rushing around on the day, trying to spend time with each of your guests to the point where you don’t get any time with your groom.  Make sure you take time to pause and soak up the precious moments.

You’ve been months planning your special day.  If something unexpected happens it’s important that you relax, go with the flow and enjoy your day.

Bridal gown for the Petite

Famous petite shape celebrities include Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham.  If you are petite you are in the lucky position of being able to wear sleek and elegant sheath gowns.

Typically, petite women are smaller in the bust region.  Don’t despair, there are plenty of clever designs to help pump up the volume.  Detailing such as beading, feathers and lace around the bust line can create size in that region.

Another wonderful design for petite ladies is backless gowns or plunging backlines.  You can create an amazingly elegant and sophisticated style.

Of course you can achieve the ball gown effect.  Just avoid having too much fabric that overwhelms your petite shape.

Take a look at these gorgeous gowns that look amazing on petite style brides.

Looking your best on your special day

Feeling and looking good on your special day is important to every bride.  Here are some helpful tips you can do to ensure you are looking your best on a day that will forever live in your memories.

1. Drink plenty of water.  Forget the fizzy, sugary drinks.  Replace them with water, water, water.  Did you know that hunger can be a sign of thirst.  It may be helpful to keep a bottle of water nearby and try to drink atleast 2 litres of water per day.

2. Eat regularly.  We often hear of people going on crazy fad diets in the event they will shed kilos quickly.  Ensuring you eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner is important, but so too are the healthy snacks in between these main meals like nuts, fruits and vegetables.

3.  Get active.  I’m not talking about running a marathon, but ensure you get out and get physically active everyday.  A brisk walk is a great place to start.

4.  Avoid or limit your temptations.  You know your temptations, whether it is chocolate, cakes or biscuits.  Be kind to yourself and avoid or limit your access to them.  A great place to start is to clear out the pantry of any temptations and avoid these aisles when shopping.

5.  Get plenty of sleep.  Planning a wedding on top of your already busy life can be hectic.  Be sure to get plenty of sleep to ensure you can stay on top of your game and avoid the need for that sugary hit for short term energy gain.

6.  Treat yourself.  By this I mean treat your hair and skin.  You may consider facial and hair treatments to ensure your hair and skin are glowing for your special day.

Looking and feeling your best is about making informed decisions.  You don’t have to sacrifice everything, it’s all about moderation.
